Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today is Earth Day 2020 and we'd like to know what you will do to keep the Earth healthy, what is your promise (pledge)?
It could be to:
*ensure you reduce the electricity you use by turning off lights when you leave a room
* reduce your waste by reusing or recycling products
* grow your own fruit or veg
* use water sensibly to avoid wasting or using unnecessarily (do you leave the water running when you brush your teeth?!)
Head over to the Rights Ambassadors page for some activities you could do to celebrate today: https://www.ninianparkprm.cardiff.sch.uk/rights-ambassadors/
The focus of this scavenger hunt is inventors.
How quickly can you find the following items?
Why not send us a photo you and your finds with the time it took you? You can contact us via Twitter with the #npps and @nppschool OR email your photo to remotelearning@ninianparkprm.cardiff.sch.uk with your name and class.
Maybe you can design your own invention to help a sleepy-head get out of bed in the morning, or a machine to make your breakfast? Send us your ideas.
Good luck
Each week we will be sharing with you activities sent by UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) so that you can learn alongside children from all over the world about specific rights.

Have you ever read 'Room on a Broom', 'The Gruffalo' or 'Charlie Cook's Favourite Book'?
If you have been so lucky, then you have seen the work of the very talented Axel Scheffler. He's an illustrator of many well known books.
Axel has worked with Elizabeth Jenner, Kate Wilson and Nia Roberts to write this book for us. They talked to several headteachers and a doctor when writing the book. They also got ideas from Professor Graham Medley (who knows a lot about infectious diseases and works at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - which means he's very clever). Together they got the lovely Nosy Crow Publishers to produce this free book to help us all understand the Coronavirus better.
Axel said - "I asked myself what I could do as a children’s illustrator to inform, as well as entertain, my readers here and abroad, about the Coronavirus. So I was glad when my publisher, Nosy Crow, asked me to illustrate this question-and-answer book. I think it is extremely important for children and families to have access to good and reliable information in this unprecedented crisis, and hope this digital book will reach many children."
We hope you find it useful.

Our school has been sent the following opportunity -
If the pupils fancy a challenge, all they need to do is to draw pictures of wildlife they see in the garden or school (birds, worms, bees, spiders etc) and email the drawings to Ffion.Llyr@RSPB.ORG.UK by Monday 6th April at midday. All ages, no limit on number of drawings! The pictures will be put on RSPB’s twitter page/Instagram/ Facebook with the school name and pupil name if they label their pictures....
Hopefully we can then do a shout out to parents and other schools to get involved.
A bit more detail about the campaign is here
Just email drawings to Ffion.Llyr@RSPB.ORG.UK by Monday 6th April at midday (please include your School’s twitter name too)
Our school Twitter name is @nppschool
Good luck anyone who takes part. We look forward to seeing if your entries get put onto Twitter.
