Year 1 & 2
Welcome to Year 1 and 2
Please scroll down for information about both year groups and any dates that are important this term.
Upcoming events
During the Autumn Term, Year 1 and 2 will be investigating the enquiry question ‘What does it mean to be a Cardiff citizen?’
To give the pupils a better understanding of living and going to school in the city of Cardiff, we will be going on a local area walk around Grangetown and up to Tudor Street to identify places of interest, these may include shops, houses, homes, landmarks and places of worship.
We will be going on our walk on Monday 6th October 2025 and all pupils will be made aware of the health and safety expectations as well as be provided with a high viz jacket which they must wear at all times.
On Tuesday 25th November 2025 the year 2 pupils from classes 2A, 2B and 1/2 will be visiting The Bay Church in Grangetown to take part in a morning of fun activities as part of ‘Christmas wrapped up.’
The pupils will take part in art and craft activities, decorating a festive biscuit as well as joining in with retelling of the Nativity story.
