We are delighted to be able to offer after school sports clubs on Thursday and Friday with our Health Mentor - Mr Darren Jones.
For all our clubs the pupils need to have behaved appropriately all week to take part.
Thursday club is aimed at encouraging girls to participate in and enjoy sport. The girls take part in a wide range of activities that promote physical fitness and team spirit. But don't just take our word for it, here are some of the comments from the girls that have taken part -
"You feel tired afterwards, but you always go home happy."
"It's great fun"
"We get to do all the stuff that the boys do, but we do it better."
"It's not just good for you, it's healthy too."
Friday club is aimed at encouraging boys to participate in and enjoy sport. The focus is on team spirit and fitness. Skills covered include hockey, basketball, cricket, tennis and the ever popular football.
Membership of the clubs is reviewed each term (sometimes half termly). Pupils are advised when they need to collect a permission form and the deadline for signing up.
