Large ball skills and Folk Dancing.
This club started on Monday 21st September 2015 and is run by Y6 teacher Mr Rees.
Club will finish each week at 4:15. Initially there is space for 30 children, but this may increase soon.
The aim is to teach transferable skills that can be used in netball, basketball, handball, volleyball, soccer and (of course) rugby. When the weather is poor, the children will be learning traditional Welsh folk dances in the KS2 hall.
With the Rugby World Cup is underway, the first session concentrated on the skill of "catch-pass", also known as "give-and-take". We worked on our catching and throwing, our kicking from hand and picking up the ball from the ground whilst running fast skills.
